Hi! I’m Helen, one of your friendly mods looking after the #sql, #postgres, #mysql, and #database tags.

At the end of each month, I’ll be showcasing some of the great posts, projects, and insights from the data community.

To get us started we have Kevin from the AppLand team with a RailsConf presentation and demo on how to auto-document database schemas with a gem called rails-erd.

Next, we have LordGhostX with a post showing how by integrating HarperDB with Python and Flask, we can build a contact manager with CRUD functionalities.

Mohmed then shares some of the most important tips you need when you’re building relational databases like MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

Moving on to Curious Paul and their post on how to build a telegram bot using a database on Fauna’s serverless system to host user data.

This next post by Sandor demonstrates how to build a fully functional Q&A board for asking and upvoting the most interesting questions with Redis.

Next, we have SeattleDataGuy who returns to the wrap up with a list of data sources that can be utilised for data engineering and a few ways other developers have implemented these datasets for you to draw inspiration from.

Our last post is from AWS Community Builder Joël and a deep dive into data lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh.
Each data architecture model has benefits and shortcomings, there is no good and bad approach. This post evaluates how these data architecture patterns can be applied using great examples.

That’s all for this month! For more from the data community check out the #sql, #postgres, #mysql, and #database tags, and follow @TheDatabaseDev on Twitter.
