Hi! I'm Helen, one of your AWS Heroes!

In this final edition of AWS classic posts I'll be taking a trip down memory lane and showcasing some classic AWS posts. Some of these might be your 'go-to' resources already, others may offer some new insight or ideas.

Let's jump into the posts!

To get us started we have Frank and an insightful series of classic posts. In this series Frank covers Cloud fundamentals and practical examples that use AWS services like Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, and CloudWatch.

In this post we get to know two simple but powerful components for event and message processing on AWS: The Simple Notification Service (SNS) and the Simple Queue Service (SQS).

Next, we have a talk from Adrian Hornsby that was presented at the AWS Community Day - Australia and New Zealand. The lessons shared here are focused on trying to do a better job and changing as a person.

Check out the transcript and video for more from Adrian.

This classic post from Harriet is great for beginners and those who want to brush up on the basics. You'll end up with a better idea of what a server really is and how you can use one.

Moving on to another classic tutorial, this time from Alex who reveals the secrets you should know when setting up the CloudWatch alarms you need in five minutes.

Our last classic post this month is from AWS Hero Vlad who takes a deep dive into containers. Check it out for the answers to the big questions - what's the fastest way to scale containers on AWS? Is ECS faster than EKS? What about Fargate? Is there a difference between Fargate on ECS and Fargate on EKS?

That's all for this month! For more great posts check out the #aws tag and the AWS Heroes.
