As per https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/issues/2100 SvelteKit team member Ben McCann calls for help:
We're actively working towards getting SvelteKit 1.0 out! But there's a lot to do. Just reviewing incoming PRs, prioritizing issues for 1.0, suggesting solutions for important issues, etc. is nearly a fulltime job.
We've knocked out over 100 issues that were on the 1.0 milestone. There's only a couple dozen left and we'd love a hand making that list a bit shorter
