When you know just enough you're a danger to your code

Here I am going about my day when I see my VSCode has over 300 changes to commit. OK, let's go take care of that.

As soon as I do, the file open in the editor gets a line through the title, and on hover, it says it was deleted.

Turns out an entire project I worked on yesterday had also been deleted.

Imagine my surprise.

I panicked. Immediately I opened Brave and started to search for "Why did VSCode delete my files". You know what? I found the solution I was looking for right here on DEV.

Finding a solution to my problem very quickly made me curious about the place where I found it. I'm excited to be part of this community!
