Differences Between DevOps and DevSecOps:
Aspect DevOps DevSecOps
Focus Optimizing collaboration between development and operations for faster releases. Integrating security into every part of the DevOps process.
Security Security is typically handled separately (often at the end of the cycle). Security is integrated at every stage (shift-left approach).
Tools Focus on tools for CI/CD, monitoring, and automation (e.g., Jenkins, Docker). DevOps tools + security tools (e.g., static code analysis, vulnerability scanners).
Risk Mitigation Risk is typically addressed after deployment or in post-production monitoring. Security risks are addressed early in the development cycle.
Compliance Less focus on regulatory requirements or compliance checks. Strong focus on compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
