Hi guys, how are you?

So I just started learning C. I was always interested in web development, but man, I love C. I am currently looking at Stephen Kochan's book because I find it a lot better than K&R (by the way, I've done the first four chapters of K&R). I desperately need a mentor or someone to show me the way through this process. I'm interested in writing protocols and diving deeper into more fundamental material. I need to have a strong foundation in computer science and work my way up into research.
