Related to my article yesterday on my love of mundane sci-fi, I am absolutely smitten with Mundango, a free daily app from Dave Rupert.
In Dave’s own words…
Mundago is a game about enjoying the small things in life. Each day you get a brand new board of activities you can pursue. Your board is yours. Your friends’ boards will be different. Tap items to check them off as you complete them.
Get four in a row (up-down, across, or diagonal) and you win the day.
It’s a bit like Wordle, but for doing rewarding, mundane things that improve your health and happiness.
Activities include things like…
- Pet a dog
- See a cool cloud
- Find something you lost
- Go for a walk
There are filters, so you can omit activities that require movement, involve visuals, or involve sound. You can also create a new board if the current one isn’t working for you.
And you can save the web app to your homescreen and run it like a native app so you don’t forget to open it up each day.
I’m so grateful to Dave for making this! It’s exactly the kind of mundane joy I need more of in my life. ❤️
