NewDad brought their signature blend of dreamy indie rock to the KEXP studio on August 12, 2025, with a live take on “Roobosh.” Fronted by Julie Dawson (vocals/guitar) alongside Sean O’Dowd (guitar), Fiachra Parslow (drums), Sam “Shrink” Breathwick (guitar/keys) and Marie Freiss (bass), the band delivers a tight, captivating performance that feels both raw and polished.
Under Cheryl Waters’ enthusiastic hosting, Kevin Suggs handled the audio engineering, with Joseph Futák stepping in as guest engineer and mixer and Matt Ogaz mastering the final cut.
