Hi dev.to! I’m Jun, the mind behind JunData.
I spend my evenings monitoring the health of my self‑hosted Mastodon instance and the query trends from my NextDNS setup.
When I’m not looking at graphs, I enjoy camping, hiking, and diving on Jeju Island.
I chose the name because I love looking at raw numbers and want to build a habit of documenting them.
On this blog I’ll try to keep track of the numbers, explain what they impact, and (hopefully) improve:
- Mastodon server‑resource snapshots (CPU, RAM, storage) – always rounded or expressed as percentages for privacy.
- NextDNS query‑trend breakdowns – which domains spike, what times of day traffic peaks, and what that means for privacy.
If anything, that’s the plan. Just like data, plans always change. We just need to keep moving.
