We want to hear from you! Tell us about workflows, trends and AI in your design and/or development work!
Last year, we started really exploring the designer-developer relationship: from design systems, brainstorming, prototyping and user testing through the handoff, creation and launch process. Where are things working well? Why do we hit blockers? And why can’t developers understand the difference between cobalt and cerulean? (Just kidding about that last one … mostly).
We hit the streets conferences with a whiteboard and a ton of sticky notes and talked to hundreds of designers and developers in-person about their experiences.
Then, we broadened the scope and launched The State of Designer Developer Collaboration Survey, so we could hear from designers and developers all around the world! What we found was super interesting—but no spoilers: Go check out the results and see for yourself!
Now, a year has passed—and what an eventful year it’s been! The growth of generative AI has disrupted our workflows and processes in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Last year, we had a token few questions about AI, and many of our respondents were feeling hesitant about incorporating it into their work. This year, we’ve expanded to a whole section on AI—and I suspect that the responses will be quite different!
There’s only one way to find out for sure, though. Take The State of Designer-Developer Collaboration 2025 Survey: Workflows, Trends and AI.
We want to hear from you! Have things changed in your day-to-day work? Are you a designer who’s vibe-coding more interactive prototypes? A developer who’s asking ChatGPT for color scheme ideas? Have you been over- or underwhelmed by all the new AI features popping up in your tools? Or maybe nothing has changed for you, and you’re still keeping a cautious eye on this whole “AI” thing before diving in?
No matter what you’re experience is, we’re curious to hear about it. We’ll bundle up all the results into a meticulously detailed and (of course) beautifully designed report, and you’ll be the first to know.
