Hey everyone 👋
This week in my data analyst journey was all about Excel — my first real data best friend 😄. I decided to go back to the basics and explore just how powerful this tool really is when you know what you’re doing.
I worked with some raw datasets and used functions like VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and IF statements to clean and organize data. Honestly, watching messy data transform into neat tables feels like magic every single time.
I also spent some time learning Pivot Tables — easily one of the coolest features in Excel. Being able to summarize large chunks of data in seconds made me realize how much time I’ve wasted in the past doing things manually 😅.
On top of that, I played around with some data visualization tools in Excel — adding charts, slicers, and conditional formatting to make my reports look more professional (and fun to read).
It’s crazy how a tool I once saw as “just for spreadsheets” has turned into a full-blown data storytelling platform. Each formula feels like a new superpower unlocked.
