Over the past few months, I’ve been rebuilding key parts of my app, BusinessAdBooster, an AI-powered content engine for small businesses and marketers.
The old homepage worked… but it didn’t show the product clearly.
New visitors kept asking:
“How does it actually work?”
“Is the AI output any good?”
“Do I need to click around to understand it?”
So I redesigned the UI with one mission:
👉 Explain the value in under 10 seconds.
That led to two major upgrades:
a 10-second demo video
a real-time output preview that updates live
These small changes improved engagement more than any feature update I shipped this year.
Here’s how and why I built it.
Why the Redesign Was Needed
BusinessAdBooster has a lot of power under the hood:
SEO blog generator
AEO/FAQ answer generator
GEO/local SEO content
Google Business Profile posts
Social content
Schema-ready output
But the older homepage didn’t show that instantly.
If your product requires scrolling, reading, and guessing, you lose people.
So I rebuilt the landing experience around two core principles:
Show > Tell
Speed > Everything
10-Second Demo: Explain the Product Instantly
People don’t want a 2-minute explainer video.
They want: “How fast is it and what does it produce?”
So I added a tiny 10-second demo at the top of the homepage.
No voiceover.
No editing.
Just the real UI:
choose content type
type a topic
get optimized content
This instantly answers 80% of user questions.
Bounce rate dropped and “Let me try” clicks increased immediately.
Real-Time Output Preview (The Game Changer)
This is the part developers will appreciate.
Instead of static examples, the homepage now shows live, continuously refreshed AI output, including:
SEO blog snippets
Google Business posts
AEO question–answer pairs
Local SEO content
Social captions
Visitors see the system working without clicking anything.
It builds trust immediately because:
they see the formatting
they see the optimization
they see the tone
they see the structure
A live demo is stronger than any written copy.
Tech Behind the Real-Time Preview (Simple Breakdown)
I’ll keep it high-level, but here’s how it works:
A lightweight API endpoint generates rotating samples every X seconds.
Output is stored in a small cache layer to avoid regenerating too often.
The frontend fetches the cached snippets and transitions them smoothly.
Animations are minimal to keep performance crisp on all devices.
This way, the homepage stays fast, but still feels “alive.”
No heavy polling, no unnecessary API calls, no lag.
Cleaner UI = Faster Understanding
I also simplified the overall interface:
less text
clearer sections
simpler language
more visual hierarchy
direct entry into generators
Now the homepage communicates the full value in seconds:
“AI-powered content for SEO, AEO, and GEO — without the complexity.”
