Bubsy’s big comeback feels surprisingly fresh
After going hands-on with Bubsy 4D, IGN’s Jared Petty found that this ’90s mascot still has some of that cheesy charm and bouncy platforming fun you remember—slick visuals, tight controls, and plenty of nods to the classics keep the experience engaging.
But don’t expect a flawless revival
Some levels suffer from repetitive layouts, and a handful of technical hiccups remind you it’s not quite the polished powerhouse modern platformers often are. Still, if you’ve missed yawning cats in fancy boots, Bubsy 4D scratches that retro itch—just don’t expect a perfect score.
