Professional : Pretty good day. Had the normal meetings. Responded to some community questions. I've been thinking through how I want to refactor this project from one platform to using GitHub Codespaces since the code would be in a GitHub repo anyway. I've been trying to see how I can unwind what we've already done, but it looks like it would be a lot more work than starting from scratch again. To validate my hunch, I asked went to Google Gemini. Gemini 3 just came out and I'm on the Pro plan so I figured I would try it out with Deep Research. I explained what I want to achieve trying to be very specific. I uploaded a zip file that my part of the process creates so that it has an idea of what the input would look like. I even provided a link to a similar project I created using GitHub Codespaces as a reference. I sent off the request, it came up with a plan, I made some changes and after a while, it researched a bunch of documentation and came up with a pretty good plan and some code. It had some GitHub actions that I didn't know about. I'm looking forward to trying it out tomorrow and see how it works out.
Personal : Last night, I went through Bandcamp and picked what projects I want to buy this week. I put together the social media posts to post tomorrow. I also got the Stripe webhook server working.
The plan is to pick up the projects on Bandcamp and start putting together tracks for the radio show. Got a tracking number for a new printer. It's a good thing that my new shelves came in. I'll be setting it up this weekend and moving equipment around to make space. After putting together the playlist for the radio show, I want to modify the model I made this week and print another prototype tomorrow. There's also a couple of other things I want to print to show my co-host this week at the station. Looking to get saving an item from my dashboard to the database working so I can show it on the clients page, so that they can place an order through Stripe and that then send an event to my web hook server that will then save the order in my database so it shows up on my dashboard. Full circle. haha Going to eat dinner and get to work.
